Words of Wisdom from the Authors

“To the future massage therapist, you’re heading towards a wonderful career that focuses on helping others in so many ways. It’s interesting, rewarding, and fun. But it can seem challenging to get from where you are now to a licensed professional, especially with so many hurdles and exams ahead of you. So my advice is that you study for your exam, take practice tests and review these questions. Don’t just review the notes you’ve collected over the past few months. We also have a tendency to study what we already know or what we are already good at, so it’s essential that you figure out what topics you’re struggling with and study them thoroughly. Stay focused and study like you want a life changing, rewarding career and nothing can stand in your way”.

“It is exciting to see the changes of massage therapy and how it is beginning to be accepted by the medical community. Passing the MBLEx is just the beginning of a massage therapist’s career. I understand test taking is nerve wracking, but I urge others to keep studying and pass that test. The world of massage therapy is rewarding. To be part of someone’s health and healing is what makes this career rewarding.”

“Whatever brought you to this work, believe in yourself, gain trust in your clients and just go for it and grow.  Anything is possible if you believe and study hard.”

“For students that are looking into massage therapy as a new career, I would like to say it is more like a lifestyle change than just another job where you get to make new friends and people really appreciate you.”

“The reason why I love being a massage therapist is because I am able to help individuals with preventative care and stress relief, assist in the healing process, and provide clients with the overall health benefits that massage has to offer. I believe massage should be enjoyable throughout and give relief, while providing a healing experience. I have had successful experiences in medical facilities, spas, and in clients homes maintaining the trust that is required between client and therapist.”
